August 2009 - Opening Ceremony
Science Center Sorø Academy.

On August 5th the "Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Science Centre" and hotel was opened in the presence of Mr. Mc-Kinney Møller.

The Science Center offers facilities to the existing Sorø Academy and the education of young talents. The centre sets the framework for education in the field of science and will offer inspiration and knowledge to the students in areas such as biotechnology, nanotechnology and robotics.

The originators for the new national centre of knowledge is the foundation Sorø Akademy the "Sorø Akademy School" and the "Ministry of Education" while the state and the "A.P Møller & Hustru Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation" have financed the project.
